Live & Local is Buck’s Backyard’s Free Wednesday night concert series celebrating the best up-and-coming talent in Central Texas.

Buck’s has hosted Grammy winners and some of the biggest names in music, but some of the most exciting moments in live music happen when you discover a great artist before everyone else knows their name. That’s what Wednesday nights are all about. Every week, we put local singers, songwriters, acoustic acts, and full bands on the big stage and give them the room they deserve.

There’s never a cover. Just grab a drink, pull up a seat, and catch a show. You might just see Central Texas’ next great act before they break.

A Texas duo, The Lockhearts have been captivating audiences with their blood harmonies and undeniable talent. Singing together since they could talk, their bond shines through in every note they share. The sisters discovered their passion for songwriting at an early age, penning their first song together at 5 and 7 years old. Within just a few years, Paige and Kate were regularly infusing their tunes with all the matters of their life, heart,and soul, setting the foundation for their devotion to music. For years, the sisters have honed their craft, dedicating countless hours into songwriting and performing. In 2020, their dedication caught theattention of a Grammy Award-winning artist, Kimberly Perry, when they covered The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” on social media. Kimberly reached out to them and has since become an ongoing mentor to TheLockhearts which has further shaped their artistry and inspired them to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination. Since releasing their first four singles in late 2024, The Lockheartsmusic has accrued over 100K streams. The duo has plans to keep a steady stream of song releases, most of which are written entirely by just the two of them. Known for their rich harmonies and deeply personal lyrics, The Lockhearts continue to write music that resonates with listeners. Whether performing on stage or creating in their Austin home, they bring authenticity and passion to everything they do, proving that their sisterly connection is the heart of their music.
